At Dougherty Orthodontics, we love to stay involved in our community. Each year we participate in events helping local schools, libraries, hospitals, and fundraisers in the greater St. Louis area—including Valley Park, Ballwin, Kirkwood, and Fenton. Here’s a recap of our community involvement in 2018.
To kick things off in January, we donated a photo booth for Trivia Nights at local schools.
In February, we gave National Children’s Dental Health Month talks at local schools. We donated a photo booth for father/daughter dances and other school functions. We also hosted Hygiene Night for our referring dental offices, and Dr. Dougherty offered a 2-hour CE credit for those who attended.
We turned in pop tabs to Shriners Hospitals for Children and participated in local fundraisers (e.g., Sacred Heart School fundraiser). We collect pop tabs for Shriners all year long.
We participated in the St. Paul’s in Fenton soccer event at Fenton Park, as well as the Ta Ta Sisterhood Foundation softball tournament.
We threw our annual Patient Appreciation Party in September. For Halloween, we participated in Trunk or Treat programs at area schools and held our Referral Drs. Pumpkin Contest. We also helped local firefighters stock the shelves of their food pantry in thanks for all they do.
In November, we participated in Girls on the Run fall events at local schools. We also held our own Tree of Thanks (“What are you thankful for?”) patient participation event.
Every December, we do Wrap a Bottom—a diaper collection effort started by Harvester Christian Church to help families in the St. Louis area.
