Kid Friendly Halloween Events in St. Louis – 2018

Happy Halloween from Dougherty Orthodontics! Looking for fun ways to celebrate Halloween 2018 with the whole family? Here’s a list of fun, kid friendly Halloween events in and around St. Louis. These activities range from totally non-scary to mildly spooky.

Booterfly House (Chesterfield, MO)

October 231 at 10:00am (closed Mondays)

Visit the Butterfly House at Faust Park to see some slightly scary bugs and botanicals. Story Time with Little Miss Muffet will be held daily at 11:00am. The Booterfly House is included with the price of admission ($5–$8).

Boo at the Zoo Nights (St. Louis, MO)

October 1630 at 5:30pm

Boo at the Zoo will be a fun-filled, non-scary event for children held at the St. Louis Zoo. Halloween costumes are encouraged! Kids 12 and under will receive a treat bag upon exiting the zoo. Admission is $6–$7. (Children ages 2-12 in costume will receive a $1 discount with on-site ticket purchase.)

Terror at Tower Grove Park (St. Louis, MO)

October 19 at 4:30pm

The 3rd annual Terror at Tower Grove Park event will take place along Main Drive at the South Grand Entrance. This family friendly event will feature music, food trucks, candy, games, arts and crafts, a movie, and a costume contest. Costumes are encouraged! Admission is free.

Haunted Hayloft at Purina Farms (Gray Summit, MO)

October 2022 & October 2729 at 4:30pm

This will be a not-so-scary event with entertainment for kids, including trick-or-treating, magic shows, face painting, storytelling, and more. There will be canine performances and adoptable dogs at the show. Kids ages 5 and under and ages 6–12 can enter the Halloween costume contest for a chance to win a prize. Admission is free. Science Spooktacular (St. Louis, MO)

October 2528 at 5:00pm

This family friendly Halloween celebration at the Saint Louis Science Center will feature spell-binding science and fun with learning. Activities will include Spooky Storytime, Halloween films in the OMNIMAX Theater, hands-on activities, and more. Costumes are encouraged! Admission is free, including parking.

Kirkwood Halloween Walk (Kirkwood, MO)

October 25 at 5:00pm

Kids will enjoy dressing in costumes and trick-or-treating at participating merchants in Downtown Kirkwood. Admission is free.

St. Vincent Haunted Shelter Extravaganza (St. Louis, MO)

October 27 at 2:00pm

This will be a free Halloween event for kids ages 5 and up. The party will include candy, s’mores, hot chocolate, and other treats. Dress in costumes, because there will be prizes and fun activities! Admission is free.
